Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join Nottingham City Council.
Contract details:
- Ongoing temporary contract
- Initial 3-month placement, with strong likelihood of extension
- Full time – 37 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
- Hybrid working: 2 days per week working from home, 3 days office-based
Pay rates:
- Up to £37.50 per hour (Umbrella)
- £32.97 PAYE (inclusive)
- £29.42 PAYE (exclusive)
Role overview:
You will be working within a specialist service supporting children with complex disability and health needs. The role involves managing a varied caseload, undertaking statutory assessments, and completing court-related work while working closely with partner agencies.
Essential requirements:
- Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel
- Experience working with children with complex disabilities and/or health needs and their families
- Experience in Mental Capacity and the Court of Protection
- Experience in Child Protection, Children in Care, and court work (Family Court and Court of Protection)
- Understanding of short breaks and assessing the need for short breaks
- Strong knowledge of SEND and relevant legislation
