Southampton City Council is looking for a dynamic, experienced Registered Manager to lead our Reablement service on an interim basis.
This is a fast-paced, rewarding role where you’ll oversee high-quality, person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities, complex needs, and autism, while leading and inspiring a dedicated staff team.
Location: Southampton
Contract: Initially 3 months
Hours: 37 hours per week
Rate: ÂŁ33.50 per hour (Umbrella) (ÂŁ26 PAYE an hour)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Reablement service to deliver safe, responsive, and effective care
- Maintain CQC registration and prepare for inspections
- Drive services to “Good” or “Outstanding” CQC standards
- Place people at the heart of all decision-making and service delivery
- Provide strong leadership, direction, and motivation to staff
- Promote a culture of professionalism, learning, and continuous improvement
- Support staff wellbeing, development, and retention
- Safeguard service users and manage risk effectively
- Oversee recruitment, induction, and ongoing staff development
- Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Monitor budgets and contribute to service and business planning
- Set, monitor, and report on KPIs and overall service performance
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience managing a registered care service
- Background in learning disability, neurodiversity, autism, or complex needs
- Track record of achieving Good or Outstanding CQC outcomes
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Experience with KPIs, performance management, and reporting
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and person-centred care
- Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
