- PIP2: Experienced investigator, handling complex cases, supervising PIP1 staff, and making operational decisions in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- PIP1: Conduct initial investigations of reported crimes.
- Gather, preserve, and document evidence according to legal standards.
- Interview victims, witnesses, and suspects under supervision.
- Prepare accurate and detailed case files for submission to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
- Attend court as required to provide evidence.
