We are recruiting a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join a community-based charity supporting adults affected by drug and alcohol use.

Role: Healthcare Assistant

Contract: 3-6 months ongoing

Rate: £17 per hour (umbrella)

  • Carry out physical health checks and screenings
  • Support blood testing, ECGs, vaccinations, and toxicology testing (training provided where required)
  • Assist with community alcohol and opioid detox programmes
  • Promote health, wellbeing, and recovery through one-to-one support
  • Work closely with nurses and partner agencies to deliver person-centred care

Experience: Experience as a Healthcare Assistant or within a health, social care, or substance misuse setting is desirable.

Qualifications: Care Certificate or relevant healthcare qualification is desirable but not essential.
