We are looking for a qualified and customer-focused MOT Tester to join our team in Leigh. This is a great opportunity for a skilled professional who takes pride in both technical standards and delivering excellent customer service.
You’ll be responsible for carrying out MOT tests to Government standards, ensuring vehicles are safe and roadworthy while providing clear, honest communication to customers throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting Class 4 & 7 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
- Road testing vehicles where required
- Explaining MOT outcomes clearly to customers
- Advising on any necessary repairs and reasons for failures
- Delivering excellent customer service and building long-term customer relationships
- Maintaining accurate records and following workshop health and safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Class 4 & 7 MOT Testing Licence (essential)
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential – road testing required)
- Strong knowledge of MOT testing procedures and standards
- Confident communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers
- A professional, trustworthy approach that reassures customers they are in safe hands
