We are urgently recruiting Mental Health Care Assistants for work within the Workington, Cumbria area. This role offers ad hoc, shift‑by‑shift work on a zero‑hour contract, providing full flexibility or an ideal opportunity to supplement your current role.

You will be working within a private hospital that provides specialist community‑based care home with nursing for all gender identities who have a learning disability or who are autistic, or who may have additional complex physical or mental health needs.

Location: Workington

Pay: £16.07 LTD rate inclusive of holiday and NI / £14.24 PAYE inclusive rate of holiday and NI

Shift Details:

  • Start: Immediate
  • Day shifts: 07:30 – 20:00
  • Night shifts: 19:30 – 08:00
  • Shifts are often released a few days – a week in advance

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months UK experience as a Mental Health Support Worker
  • Fully enhanced DBS
  • In‑date PMVA or MAPA training and hold certificate
