Specialist Neurodevelopmental Practitioner – ADHD & Autism Assessments (CYP)

Hybrid – F2F assessments in Manchester, admin from home

Salary – £42,000 to £80,000 DOE

Service Care Solutions are proud to be recruiting for a Specialist Neurodevelopmental Practitioner on behalf of a growing independent provider of autism and ADHD assessments for children and young people across the UK. This innovative service delivers high-quality, evidence-based neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people through both NHS Right to Choose and private pathways. Through Service Care Solutions, you will join a passionate multidisciplinary team that includes Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Family Therapists, and Psychiatrists, all dedicated to delivering timely, accurate diagnoses and improving long-term outcomes for children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face structured ADHD and/or autism assessments with children and young people in Manchester
  • Complete remote developmental history interviews with parents and carers
  • Participate in collaborative MDT diagnostic discussions, with senior support available
  • Deliver clear, compassionate diagnostic feedback to children and families
  • Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic reports using AI-assisted report writing tools
  • Provide clinical supervision where applicable

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year's professional registration with HCPC, NMC, or GMC
  • HCPC – Clinical Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, or Occupational Therapist
  • NMC – Mental Health Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse, Children's Nurse, or General Nurse
  • SWE - Qualified Social Worker
  • At least 1 year's experience working with children and young people in a clinical or CAMHS setting
  • Experience conducting or supporting ADHD and/or autism diagnostic assessments in CYP is desirable; candidates with solid paediatric or CAMHS backgrounds and a willingness to train will also be considered
  • Strong understanding of neurodevelopmental presentations in children
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for ADHD and autism
  • Familiarity with tools such as ADOS-2, ADI-R, or equivalent is advantageous
