An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Right to Buy Manager to join a leading Housing Association in Manchester, managing the delivery of Right to Buy and Right to Acquire sales processes while ensuring compliance with current legislation and delivering excellent customer service.
THE ROLE
- You will provide a customer-focused Right to Buy and Right to Acquire service, overseeing applications and sales from enquiry through to completion while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and internal procedures.
- Manage and process RTB and RTA enquiries and applications within statutory timescales.
- Verify customer eligibility and ensure all required contributions and documentation are received prior to progressing sales.
- Supervise and support the RTB & RTA Sales Assistant, ensuring high standards of customer service are maintained.
- Maintain and improve RTB and RTA procedures using QL and Documotive systems to track live cases and KPI performance.
- Liaise with solicitors regarding legal enquiries, deeds of postponement, post-sale matters and associated legal processes.
- Support finance teams with reconciliation of property disposals, receipts and leaseholder account creation.
- Ensure all systems and records are accurately updated following sale completion and provide information for RTA grant recovery processes.
THE CANDIDATE
- The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a similar Right to Buy, Home Ownership or Housing Sales role within a Housing Association or Local Authority environment.
- Knowledge of preserved Right to Buy and Right to Acquire legislation and processes.
- Experience managing RTB or RTA applications from initial enquiry through to completion.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive enquiries professionally.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple live cases.
- Experience using housing management and document management systems such as QL and Documotive.
- Good numeracy, literacy and IT skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with finance teams, solicitors and internal stakeholders.
THE CONTRACT
- WORKING HOURS: Full Time
- LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 3 Month Temp-Perm
- RATE: The pay for the role is £27.63 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £23.55 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
