Service Care Solutions are working in partnership with a National Social Care Service who are looking to recruit a Non-medical Prescriber to join their team. Please find a description of the role below.
Location: Manchester
Salary: £43.84 - £48.18 per hour (PAYE inc.) / £50 - £55 per hour (umbrella/ltd)
Contract: 3 months
Working: On-site (37.5 hours per week)
Role Overview:
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate care for individuals accessing treatment services.
- Conduct clinical assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
- Assess suitability for inpatient alcohol and opioid detoxification.
- Review and manage service users’ treatment plans proactively.
- Initiate and adjust prescriptions for opioid/alcohol substitute treatments and related medications.
- Lead the prescribing clinic and act as a key contact for prescribing queries.
- Provide cover for the Homeless Team Non-Medical Prescriber when required.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber.
- Minimum one year’s recent experience in substance misuse treatment.
- Strong knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion.
- Skilled in assessment, recovery planning and report writing.
- Confident verbal and written communication skills.
- Full driving licence and ability to travel between services as needed.
