Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Child Protection Social Worker to join Trafford Council on a permanent basis.

Role Overview

As a key member of the Child Protection Team, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at risk. You will manage a varied caseload and work closely with families, multi-agency professionals, and partner organisations to ensure positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake Child Protection investigations and assessments
  • Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need plans, and care proceedings
  • Complete statutory visits, reports, and court work to a high professional standard
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children
  • Develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified permanent experience within Children’s Services
  • Recent experience working in a Child Protection / Safeguarding team
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills
