Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a growing environmental consultancy for an experienced Arboriculture Team Manager / Associate Arboriculturist to join their expanding team based in Manchester. Due to continued growth and an increasing portfolio of projects across the North West, our client is seeking an experienced arboriculture professional to lead and develop their arboriculture division while delivering high-quality consultancy services across a diverse range of sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to take on a leadership role within a collaborative and forward-thinking consultancy environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing a team of Arboricultural Consultants and Surveyors, overseeing the delivery of arboriculture projects, managing client relationships, and supporting wider business development activities. You will play a key role in the continued growth of the arboriculture team, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, profitably, and to the highest technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of arboriculture projects across a range of sectors
- Manage and support a team of Arboricultural Consultants and Surveyors
- Undertake and oversee:
- Arboricultural surveys
- BS5837 assessments and reports
- Arboricultural Impact Assessments (AIA)
- Arboricultural Method Statements (AMS)
- Tree risk and hazard assessments
- Tree management plans
- Tree mapping using AutoCAD and ArcGIS Pro
- Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs)
- Conservation Areas
- Felling Licences
- Tree work applications
- High Hedges legislation
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Arboriculture or a related discipline
- Membership of a relevant professional body such as the Arboricultural Association
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within an arboricultural consultancy role
- Strong BS5837 consultancy experience
- Experience producing technical reports and undertaking visual tree inspections
- Demonstrable team management and leadership experience
- Experience managing large-scale and long-term survey contracts
- Strong understanding of current planning and environmental legislation
- AutoCAD and GIS proficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Ability to negotiate and liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and statutory consultees
- Positive and proactive approach with the ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Full UK Driving Licence
