We are currently recruiting for a Major Works Manager to oversee planned investment works and voids services for a leading housing provider based in Bolton. This is a permanent, full-time position offering agile working.
The successful candidate will lead the Major Works Team, delivering planned maintenance programmes, ensuring void properties are refurbished to a high standard, and driving compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including damp and mould legislation.
Responsibilities
- Lead on the delivery of planned maintenance and capital investment programmes.
- Manage and improve the voids service, ensuring efficient turnaround of empty homes.
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, Decent Homes Standard, HHSRS, and Housing Disrepair Protocol.
- Oversee contractor management, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
- Drive service excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Educated to HNC level (or equivalent) in a construction-related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance and construction.
- Comprehensive understanding of housing compliance and regulatory standards.
- Experience managing contracts and negotiating with contractors.
- Forward-thinking, commercially aware, and able to work under pressure.
