A client within the Public Sector based in Norfolk is currently recruiting for a Senior Surveyor to join their Asset Management team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, permanent position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing asset management environment.
Key purpose of the role is to lead and manage a team of Asset Surveyors delivering high-quality condition surveys, stock data collection, and technical inspections across the organisation’s property portfolio. The role will also support strategic asset planning while ensuring repairs are effectively diagnosed and compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Leading, managing and developing a team of Asset Surveyors delivering stock condition and responsive repair surveys
- Overseeing the rolling stock condition survey programme and ensuring asset data accuracy for long-term investment planning
- Diagnosing building defects including damp and mould and preparing specifications for remedial works
- Undertaking surveys related to disrepair cases and supporting complaint resolution with technical assessments
- Carrying out pre, in-progress and post inspections to ensure quality, compliance and value for money
To be considered for this role you will require a Degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying or a related field, along with significant experience in residential surveying within social housing or a similar environment.
- Experience managing survey teams or supervising technical staff
- Strong knowledge of building pathology, construction methods and repairs diagnostics
- Understanding of compliance requirements including HHSRS, damp and mould, fire safety and building safety legislation
