Service Care Solutions is recruiting for a Logistics Officer to support the client's satellite communications programme in a complex, highly regulated environment with a focus on Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).
Role Details
- Rate: £400 per day (Umbrella) – Inside IR35
- Contract: Until 27 March 2027 (potential extension)
- Location: Corsham (hybrid – typically 1‑2 days per week onsite)
- Hours: Full time (approx. 40 hours per week)
- Start: ASAP (subject to onboarding)
Role Summary
You will provide ILS expertise to shape, develop and maintain support solutions across the lifecycle. You'll work closely with engineering, procurement and operations teams to ensure supportability requirements are understood and embedded from design through to in‑service support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the ILS strategy and plans (e.g., Integrated Logistics Support Plan – ILSP)
- Support lifecycle activity (e.g., CADMID) ensuring supportability is considered at each stage
- Act as a key point of contact for ILS‑related matters with internal teams and suppliers
- Lead/oversee Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) to identify and optimise support requirements
- Ensure the solution is designed for maintainability, reliability and supportability
- Define and manage requirements for spares, tools, test equipment and facilities
- Monitor and manage component obsolescence risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations and contractual requirements
Essential Requirements
- ILS practitioner qualification (or equivalent) or strong, demonstrable ILS experience clearly evidenced on CV
- Strong understanding of ILS principles, frameworks and generalist ILS delivery
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
Desirable
- Defence/public sector programme environment experience
- Wider ILS experience supporting complex communications/technology programmes
