Service Care Legal are seeking a dedicated Family Solicitor with experience in Family Law to join a supportive and growing legal practice. This role offers the chance to manage a varied caseload, supervise junior staff, and contribute to both legal aid and private client work.

Location: Lewisham

Salary: Β£35,000 - Β£55,000 per annum DOE

Please note this role can be hybrid working (3 or 4 days in office per week).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of family and Court of Protection matters (legal aid and private).
  • Supervise and mentor trainees and paralegals, ensuring compliance with LAA requirements.
  • Represent clients in court, liaising with counsel and external professionals.
  • Deliver excellent client care, keeping clients updated on progress and costs.
  • Monitor billing (target 3.5) and maintain accurate time recording.
  • Keep up to date with legal developments and contribute to business development.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Solicitor with proven experience in Family Law (Court of Protection experience desirable).
  • Strong advocacy, negotiation, and client-care skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a busy caseload.
  • Experience supervising junior colleagues.
  • Knowledge of LAA funding and compliance.
