Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Practice Nurse to support a GP Surgery in Nottingham on an Adhoc Basis. This flexible contract is perfect for a clinician who has availability to pick up adhoc shifts dependent on demand of the GP Surgery.

Contract: Adhoc - Shifts available dependent on demand of service

Location: Nottingham, NG16

Hours: 9am-5:30pm (30 min break)

Pay: £32 LTD p.h / £28 PAYE inclu p.h.

System: SystmOne (S1)

Job Summary

The Practice Nurse will work as part of the primary care team to provide high-quality nursing care to the practice population. The role involves delivering a range of clinical services including chronic disease management, health promotion, screening, immunisations, wound care, and supporting patients to improve and maintain their health and wellbeing.

Clinical Duties

  • Deliver routine nursing care and treatment to patients within agreed clinical protocols.
  • Undertake chronic disease management clinics, including diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease reviews.
  • Perform health assessments and NHS Health Checks.
  • Administer routine and travel vaccinations in accordance with national guidelines.
  • Carry out cervical cytology screening.
  • Provide wound care, dressings, and management of minor injuries.
  • Undertake venepuncture, ECGs, spirometry, blood pressure monitoring, and other clinical procedures as required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and experience working within a GP Surgery.
  • Experience working within General Practice or Primary Care.
  • Competent in chronic disease management, immunisations, cytology and wound dressing.
  • Confident using SystmOne.
