Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Register Project Lead to support a local authority on a critical short-term project. This role is ideal for a senior housing professional with strong Part VI Allocations knowledge and proven project leadership experience.
Role Overview
The postholder will lead on a focused project relating to the Housing Register and Allocations service, ensuring compliance with current housing legislation and driving improvements to systems, processes, and data quality. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing expert advice, project oversight, and clear reporting throughout the contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver a Housing Register / Allocations project to agreed timescales
- Provide senior-level expertise on Part VI Allocations and housing legislation
- Review, analyse, and utilise data to support effective project delivery
- Work with Allocations IT systems to support service improvements
- Design and deliver presentations and reports to senior managers and directors
- Manage multiple project workstreams simultaneously
- Engage and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels
Essential Requirements
- Significant experience delivering Part VI Allocations in a senior role
- Proven project management experience within a housing environment
- Strong working knowledge of Allocations IT systems
- Excellent analytical skills with experience using data to inform decision-making
- In-depth knowledge of relevant housing legislation (including Housing Acts, Localism Act, Housing and Planning Act, and Homelessness Reduction Act)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation delivery
Desirable
- Housing-related qualification or extensive housing sector experience
- PRINCE2 or other recognised project management qualification
- Management qualification
This is a short-term, high-impact assignment suited to an experienced housing professional who can operate autonomously and deliver results quickly.
