CONTRACT: 3 months project work
Service Care Solutions are delighted to be working with a local organisation looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their team on a 3 month contract. This role is to support the FBP in completing short-term project work, including but not limited to a full reconciliation of the Group’s capital component expenditure for the year.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Detailed analysis of expenditure to a transactional level to resolve discrepancies, addressing queries promptly, and liaising with colleagues across multiple departments.
- Perform a detailed reconciliation of capital component expenditure in the year, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive log of queries and discrepancies, tracking progress and ensuring all items are reviewed and resolved in preparation for the next reporting cycle.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies at a transactional level, collaborating with colleagues across departments to clarify and correct issues.
- Collaborating with a range of stakeholders including both finance and non-finance colleagues.
Skills and Requirements:
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Part qualified or QBE.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage your own workload and maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Experience with social housing/housing would be advantageous but not essential.
