Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join a busy Adult Social Care Legal Team within a Local Authority based in Greater Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised legal professional to gain valuable Local Authority experience within Adult Social Care law. The role offers hybrid working, combining remote working with office attendance as required. The contract is initially 3 months rolling, with potential for extension.
Location: Greater Manchester (Hybrid Working)
Pay Rate: £13-£14 per hour (Umbrella) – PAYE (Inc.Hol) - £11.98 - £12.86
Working Pattern: Full-time, Hybrid (office attendance required as per service needs)
Key Responsibilities as a Legal Assistant:
- Manage a caseload of Childcare matters
- Provide administrative and legal support to Solicitors and Legal Officers within the Adult Social Care team.
- Draft routine correspondence and legal documents under supervision.
- Prepare and manage court bundles (electronic and hard copy).
- Liaise with Social Workers, Counsel, Court staff, and external agencies.
