Manchester City Council’s Leaving Care Service is looking for a committed and passionate Personal Advisor to join our dedicated team. We support young people aged 16–25 who have been in care, helping them transition to independent living and achieve positive outcomes in their lives.
About the Role: As a Personal Advisor, you’ll play a crucial role in guiding and supporting young people through their journey into adulthood. You will work closely with care leavers to provide practical and emotional support, ensure their views are heard, and help them access education, employment, accommodation, and health services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of young people and maintaining accurate records
- Contributing to and updating Pathway Plans based on young people’s needs
- Supporting care leavers with accommodation, budgeting, education, and health
- Coordinating support from both internal teams and external agencies
- Promoting independence while ensuring young people feel safe and supported
