The Opportunity:
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an established and highly respected charity organisation specialising in substance misuse and recovery services across the UK. With decades of experience supporting vulnerable individuals and communities, the organisation is committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred care and promoting long-term recovery outcomes.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Recovery Practitioner to join a dedicated substance misuse team supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependency. This role will involve managing a caseload of service users, delivering evidence-based interventions, conducting assessments and promoting recovery-focused outcomes through tailored support plans.
The successful candidate will have previous experience within substance misuse services and be confident working independently as a Recovery Practitioner while managing a varied and demanding caseload (Opiate/Non-Opiate/Mixed/Alcohol).
Key Responsibilities of a Recovery Practitioner:
- Managing a caseload of substance misuse service users
- Completing comprehensive assessments and risk assessments
- Delivering structured psychosocial interventions and recovery plans
- Providing one-to-one key working and support sessions
- Delivering harm reduction advice and recovery-focused interventions
- Supporting service users with health, wellbeing and social inclusion
- Maintaining accurate and timely case management records
- Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and partner agencies
- Promoting safeguarding and adhering to all compliance procedures
Essential Requirements of a Recovery Practitioner:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working within substance misuse services
- Experience working as a Recovery Practitioner
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management
- Experience managing complex caseloads and delivering interventions
- Excellent communication, organisation and case recording skills
- Enhanced Adults & Children DBS (within 12 months or registered on Update Service)
- Valid Right to Work documentation
- Satisfactory employment references
