Overview
Environmental Health Officer - Kingston — £30 PAYE / £39 Umbrella (Inside IR35)
• 37 hours per week
• 6 months contract
Responsibilities
- Investigate housing standards complaints, public health issues, noise and environmental nuisance.
- Undertake HMO licensing inspections, including additional licensing schemes.
- Work with partners to address poor housing conditions, fire safety concerns, anti-social behaviour, and fuel poverty.
- Carry out Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) inspections.
- Apply provisions of the Housing Act 2004 and Environmental Protection Act 1990 when investigating service requests.
Requirements
- Qualified Environmental Health Officer, or equivalent qualification to carry out HHSRS inspections.
- Experience investigating housing standards or environmental health service requests under relevant legislation.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and partner organisations.
