We’re currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Registered Nurse to join their Community IV Therapy Team in Kirklees. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled nurse with IV experience who enjoys working independently in the community and providing high-quality, patient-centred care.
You’ll be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary service delivering IV antibiotics and managing vascular access devices in patients’ homes, helping them recover safely and comfortably outside of hospital settings.
Position Details
- Role: Band 5 Community IV Therapy Nurse
- Location: Kirklees – covering Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Cleckheaton & Mirfield
- Contract: Agency Full-time (until January 2026)
- Pay: £21.36p/h‑£32.00p/h Ltd.
- Mileage: 59p per mile (excluding commute to/from closest base)
- Shifts: 7.5 hours – 08:00–16:00 or 13:00–21:00 (1–2 late shifts per week)
- Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver IV antibiotic therapy and other intravenous treatments safely in community settings.
- Manage and maintain Central Venous Access Devices – including PICC lines, Mid Lines, and Cannulas.
- Monitor and elevate patient care as required.
- Complete accurate documentation using SystmOne.
- Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
- Support patients and carers in understanding and managing IV therapy at home.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Proven experience delivering IV therapy and managing vascular access devices.
- Proficient in SystmOne.
- Community nursing experience.
- Car driver with access to a vehicle for business use.
- Confident in administering IV antibiotics (preferably in the community).
Additional Information
- All clinical equipment will be provided.
- Service operates 7 days a week; weekends are shared across the team.
- Mileage paid at 59p per mile (excluding commute).
