We are recruiting on behalf of a North London-based housing association for a Repairs Inspector. This role is integral in supporting the delivery of a high-quality repairs service, ensuring all maintenance and repair activities meet customer expectations and quality standards. The successful candidate will work closely with contractors and stakeholders to maintain the housing association's commitment to excellent service, focusing on timely responses and thorough quality control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the quality and progress of responsive repairs, ensuring works meet required standards.
  • Carry out pre- and post-inspections to assess repair needs and confirm the quality of completed work.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for maintenance and improvement works.
  • Support the management of contractors to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain effective repair monitoring systems, offering technical expertise where required.
  • Foster collaboration with internal teams and external contractors to ensure well-maintained properties.
  • Act as a point of contact for residents, addressing their repair concerns effectively and efficiently.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience within the repairs sector, conducting inspections and quality audits.
  • Experience with contractor management and technical reporting.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and health and safety requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Ideally, a recognised technical qualification (e.g., HND in Building Surveying) or CIOB membership.
