We’re recruiting a Housing Support Team Leader to join a respected Housing Association’s Young Person Support Service in Tower Hamlets, providing leadership and safeguarding oversight in a psychologically informed environment.

THE ROLE

  • You will lead a team delivering high-quality housing-related support to vulnerable young people aged 16–25 within a supported accommodation setting, ensuring safety, empowerment, and progression to independent living.
  • Supervise and coach frontline staff to provide consistent and safe service delivery.
  • Lead on safeguarding for young people, including 16/17-year-olds, escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Ensure risk assessments are conducted, reviewed and implemented effectively.
  • Oversee new resident referrals, bookings, and inductions.
  • Promote resident involvement through house meetings and engagement opportunities.
  • Work closely with Housing Officers and partner agencies to maintain property standards and support tenancy sustainment.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure data protection and confidentiality compliance.

THE CANDIDATE

  • We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar housing support or hostel-based role, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by vulnerable young people.
  • Experience supervising staff in a supported housing or care setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection frameworks.
  • Ability to work within a psychologically informed environment (PIE).
  • Confident communicator with strong partnership working and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using IT systems for case management and reporting.

THE CONTRACT

  • Full time, 40 Hours per week, including weekends on a rota basis.
  • Permanent Contract £32,084.50 per year.
  • Plus a range of benefits including pension scheme, life assurance, medical cash back, season ticket loan, and training opportunities.
