Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a private family based in Trinity, Jersey, who are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and experienced Housekeeper / Home Help to join their household on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a warm and welcoming family home, helping to maintain high household standards while supporting the day-to-day running of a busy family environment.
The successful candidate will be proactive, organised, trustworthy, and take pride in maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-presented home.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the household remains clean, organised, and running smoothly, supporting a family with four young children under the age of five. While this is not a childcare position, the family would appreciate someone who is comfortable around children and willing to provide occasional support if required.
Key Responsibilities
- General housekeeping duties throughout the home
- Cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and tidying
- Cleaning bathrooms and maintaining high hygiene standards
- Frequent kitchen cleaning following family mealtimes
- Keeping living areas organised and clutter-free
- Organising household items and children's toys
- Putting bins out and assisting with household recycling
- Cleaning upholstery and soft furnishings as required
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household
- Assisting with school pick-ups when required
- Light meal preparation or cooking on occasion (beneficial but not essential)
- Maintaining a welcoming and well-presented family home at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Housekeeper, Home Help, Domestic Assistant, or within a private household
- A minimum of two references from similar positions
- An Enhanced DBS Certificate
- Excellent attention to detail and high housekeeping standards
- A flexible and positive attitude
- Strong organisational skills
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work independently and use initiative
- A professional, trustworthy, and discreet approach
- Physical fitness and the ability to undertake household duties comfortably
- A genuine enjoyment of working within a family environment
- Full UK Driving License
