Assistant Project Worker – Homeless Prevention Pay: £17.51 p/h (LTD/Umbrella) Contract: 3 Month Temporary Location: Preston I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading housing provider for an Assistant Project Worker to join a temporary accommodation scheme supporting individuals who have experienced or are at risk of rough sleeping. This role is based within a 26-bed supported accommodation service, providing person-centred, strengths-based support that promotes independence, wellbeing, and engagement with local services. Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day support to residents to help develop independent living skills. Encourage and motivate individuals to engage with support services, community activities and appointments. Provide reception cover, respond to enquiries, and take rent payments when required. Carry out health & safety checks within the building. Keep accurate case notes and records on the case management system. Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies, raising safeguarding concerns when appropriate.Requirements: Experience working with vulnerable adults or individuals affected by homelessness OR relevant lived experience. Strong communication skills and ability to build trusting, professional relationships. Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries. IT literate and able to maintain accurate records.
