An established Independent Financial Advisory firm based in Hertford is looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to support a team of Financial Advisers in delivering high-quality financial planning services to a broad client base.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Paraplanner who enjoys producing detailed suitability reports, conducting research, and working closely with Advisers to deliver tailored financial solutions. The firm offers a collaborative environment, long-term progression opportunities, and support towards further qualifications if desired.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed and compliant suitability reports across Pensions, Investments, Protection, Retirement planning and Estate and Tax planning
- Conduct technical research and analysis using industry research tools
- Assist Advisers with complex financial planning cases
- Analyse existing client portfolios and recommend suitable solutions
- Liaise with providers and third parties to gather plan information
- Ensure all recommendations meet FCA compliance standards
- Support annual reviews and ongoing servicing requirements
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation
- Work collaboratively with Advisers and Administration teams to ensure smooth client journeys
- Previous experience working as a Paraplanner within an IFA/Financial Planning firm
- Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and protection products
- Experience writing suitability reports independently
- Diploma qualified or working towards Level 4 qualification preferred
- Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
