Health Care Assistant β Urgent Care (York)
Contract: 6β12 months (possible extensions)
Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 β 18:00
- Saturday: 08:00 β 13:00
Pay Rate: Β£16.13 per hour (umbrella)
Role Overview: Service Care Solutions are seeking an experienced Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join a busy Urgent Care team in York. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting clinicians and delivering essential care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ECGs and phlebotomy accurately and efficiently.
- Carry out health checks, wound care, and dressings.
- Administer B12 injections as required.
- Assist clinicians in delivering high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using SystmOne.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and health & safety standards.
- Support patients with dignity, compassion, and professionalism.
- Complete administrative tasks related to patient care when required.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant in a clinical setting.
- Competent in ECG and phlebotomy procedures.
- Must hold an NHS Smart Card.
- Proficient in using SystmOne.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
