Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for ex-police/former officers to work on a long-term, full-time contract in Gainsborough. The role is paying £23.73 per hour (Umbrella). Applicants must be PIP1 accredited, and have a minimum of 5 years policing experience in order to be considered.

Role duties:

  • Manage allocated lines of enquiry in line with force policy, Data Protection and CPIA disclosure requirements
  • Conduct victim/witness interviews and take statements (including identifying vulnerable/significant victims and applying safeguarding measures)
  • Secure, preserve and document evidence (including digital media) and coordinate investigative activity with minimal supervision
  • Progress investigations to deadlines, ensuring compliance with legislation, the Victims Code of Practice and force procedures
  • Use intelligence and force IT systems to support investigations and escalate identified risk/safeguarding concerns
  • Prepare case material and attend court to give evidence where required
  • Attend multi-agency meetings/case conferences and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • Support operational requirements for Protecting Vulnerable Persons (PVP) / Op Compatible as directed (Mon–Fri shift pattern)

Essential Criteria:

  • PIP1 accreditation
  • Minimum 5 years policing experience (ex-police/former officer)
  • Experience gathering information/evidence from third parties and using appropriate interviewing techniques
  • Strong problem-solving/decision-making skills with ability to critically analyse material
  • Experience working with confidential/sensitive information
  • Good IT skills (Word/Excel/Outlook) and ability to use force systems after training
  • Accurate, detail-focused written work and file preparation
  • Able to work on own initiative; resilient and performance-focused
  • Willing to undergo Management Vetting and drug screening
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to various locations (public premises/crime scenes/police sites)
