Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Paralegal to join a high-profile statutory Public Inquiry investigating Scotland's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a unique opportunity to support a nationally significant investigation, working alongside Solicitors and Counsel to review evidence, prepare legal documentation and contribute to complex investigations that will help shape future public policy. Key Responsibilities Assist Solicitors and Counsel with reviewing evidence and preparing reports and legal documentation. Support the gathering and analysis of witness evidence. Prepare and review core participant documentation. Cross-check documents prior to publication and complete legal redactions. Liaise with Solicitors and Counsel throughout investigations. Conduct legal research and analyse large volumes of complex documentation. Essential Requirements Previous experience working as a Paralegal within a law firm in Scotland is essential. Strong working knowledge of Scots law and Scottish legal procedures. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining calm under pressure. Excellent analytical, research and organisational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. What's on Offer Salary of £39,767 per annum . LTD day rate £207.58 PAYE (INC) £177.14 12-month contract with the potential for extension. Hybrid working – 2 days per week in the Edinburgh office.
