Bolton Council’s Staying Safe Service is looking for dedicated Family Time Workers to join their Family Time team and help improve outcomes for Looked After Children (LAC) and their families. This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with children and parents, delivering high-quality Family Time sessions, supporting parental capacity, and contributing to assessments that guide meaningful decisions for a child’s future.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the protection and safeguarding of children by identifying risks and contributing to risk assessments.
• Deliver structured, high-quality Family Time sessions and direct work with parents, carers, and children.
• Communicate session planning, delivery, and outcomes clearly within case notes and recording systems.
• Use evidence-based strategies, including EYFS guidance, to support child development and positive parenting.
• Work alongside Social Workers to contribute to assessments, rehabilitation plans, and care planning.
• Develop activities suitable for children with a range of needs, including disabilities or behavioural challenges.
• Escort children and families where required.
