Plumber/Multi-Trade Operative
Are you an experienced Plumber/Multi-Trade Operative looking for a permanent opportunity in Fareham? We are recruiting a skilled Plumber/Multi-Trade Operative to join a busy property maintenance team, carrying out high-quality repairs, installations and maintenance work within domestic properties. This role offers a salary of £37,286 per annum, based on 40 hours per week, with excellent benefits and opportunities for professional development.
The Plumber/Multi-Trade Operative Role
As a Plumber/Multi-Trade Operative, you will be responsible for diagnosing faults, completing plumbing repairs and supporting wider property maintenance activities. You will use your additional trade skills to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions for residents and customers.
Plumber/Multi-Trade Operative Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults across plumbing and associated trades.
- Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance and installations in domestic properties.
- Complete bathroom installations, including associated tiling.
- Undertake multi-trade repairs using your additional trade skills.
- Maintain excellent standards of workmanship and complete jobs right first time.
- Respond promptly to emergency repairs and changing priorities.
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota and provide support when required.
- Follow all relevant health and safety procedures while working in customers’ homes.
Plumber/Multi-Trade Operative Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing, or equivalent trade experience.
- More than three years’ experience in the plumbing trade.
- Ideally, experience in residential property repairs and maintenance.
- At least three years’ experience completing bathroom installations.
- Practical experience with bathroom installation and tiling.
- The ability to work independently while maintaining professional standards.
- A flexible and reliable approach to emergency and out-of-hours work.
