Haringey Council is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Head of Childcare Services to lead high-quality early years provision across maintained nurseries within the borough. This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving standards, ensuring compliance, and delivering outstanding outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage childcare provision across multiple nursery settings
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Oversee Ofsted readiness, safeguarding, and child protection
  • Drive service improvement, planning, and performance management
  • Lead, develop, and support multidisciplinary staff teams
  • Manage budgets and ensure effective resource allocation
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders

About You:

  • Strong leadership experience within Early Years / childcare services
  • In-depth knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted, and safeguarding frameworks
  • Experience within a local authority or public sector setting
  • Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and service delivery
