Service Care Solutions are working with a large housing organisation to recruit a Mobile Caretaker to support multiple residential estates across South East London. This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you will help keep communal areas clean, safe, and welcoming for residents.
A company van is provided, and the role involves travelling between sites daily, so flexibility and confidence working independently are essential.
Key responsibilities:- Provide cover for caretaking and gardening teams across multiple estates
- Maintain cleanliness of communal areas, including litter picking and graffiti removal
- Manage refuse and recycling areas
- Carry out scheduled cleaning tasks
- Report repairs, vandalism, hazards, and health & safety issues
- Complete basic safety checks (e.g. emergency lighting and fire alarm testing)
- Attend estate walkabouts and support actions around anti-social behaviour
- Work closely with the local Estate Services management team
- Full UK manual driving license (essential)
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Basic literacy and numeracy
- Understanding of health & safety practices
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual duties
- Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check
Mobile role covering multiple sites Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm.
