Service Care Solutions are working with a large housing organisation to recruit a Mobile Caretaker to support multiple residential estates across South East London. This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you will help keep communal areas clean, safe, and welcoming for residents.

A company van is provided, and the role involves travelling between sites daily, so flexibility and confidence working independently are essential.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide cover for caretaking and gardening teams across multiple estates
  • Maintain cleanliness of communal areas, including litter picking and graffiti removal
  • Manage refuse and recycling areas
  • Carry out scheduled cleaning tasks
  • Report repairs, vandalism, hazards, and health & safety issues
  • Complete basic safety checks (e.g. emergency lighting and fire alarm testing)
  • Attend estate walkabouts and support actions around anti-social behaviour
  • Work closely with the local Estate Services management team
Requirements:
  • Full UK manual driving license (essential)
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Basic literacy and numeracy
  • Understanding of health & safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual duties
  • Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check

Mobile role covering multiple sites Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm.
