Responsibilities:

  • Manage medium to high-risk offender caseloads
  • Support and guide Probation Services Officers (PSOs) and wider staff
  • Assess and respond to risk escalation requests from Community Rehabilitation Companies
  • Fulfil statutory safeguarding duties in line with NPS policies

Requirements:

  • Probation Qualification Framework (PQF) degree or equivalent
  • Probation Studies qualification (Essential)
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment and risk management in a probation context
  • Understanding of the Criminal Justice System and the role of the Probation Service
  • Knowledge of factors influencing offending (e.g. substance misuse, housing instability)
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion
