Medway Council is seeking a proactive Panel Inclusion Officer to support our Education & SEND team. This is a short-term opportunity to play a key role in ensuring fair access, supporting schools and families, and contributing to the smooth running of panels and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in administering Fair Access Panels, Exclusion Panels, and Attendance Pre-Court Panels.
  • Liaise with schools and families on admissions matters and respond to enquiries within agreed timescales.
  • Support the recording and issuing of Penalty Notices, working alongside the Penalty Notice & Child Employment Coordinator.
  • Collate documentation for legal processes relating to exclusion, suspension, and attendance.
  • Process, maintain, and monitor departmental data and records, identifying anomalies and escalating as required.
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance with departmental policies, producing statistics to support effective management.
  • Provide additional administration support to the wider Inclusion Team as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in education administration, preferably in inclusion or SEND.
  • Strong communication skills with schools, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage data and record-keeping with high accuracy.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to work independently.

Contract details

  • Location: Medway Council
  • Rate: Β£200 per day (via umbrella)
  • Contract: Initially 3 months
  • Working arrangement: 3 days per week in the office
