Location: Fully Remote

Rate: 370 per day (Umbrella) (269.23 PAYE exclusive)

Contract: Initial 5 month contract with potential extension

We are currently supporting a local authority in the recruitment of an experienced Inclusion Lead to join their team and play a key role in improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.

About the Role

The Inclusion Lead will be responsible for ensuring that children and young people at risk of exclusion, disengagement, or underachievement receive timely, coordinated, and effective support. This role requires a strong focus on multi‑agency working, personalised planning, and early intervention strategies. You will work across education and safeguarding services to ensure that each learner has access to appropriate provision and pathways that reflect their individual needs, strengths, and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on complex learner case management, ensuring coordinated multi‑agency support
  • Develop and oversee personalised education and progression pathways
  • Coordinate and monitor high‑quality alternative provision placements
  • Attend and contribute to TAC meetings, PEP reviews, and safeguarding discussions
  • Monitor attendance, engagement, progress, and wellbeing, intervening early where required
  • Promote and embed student voice and learner participation in decision‑making
  • Work closely with education and safeguarding partners to ensure positive outcomes

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong experience in SEND, inclusion, safeguarding, or pastoral leadership
  • Knowledge of looked after children (LAC), early years, and/or SEND frameworks
  • A strong understanding of statutory responsibilities within education settings
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and case management skills
  • A commitment to inclusive education and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
