This is a senior leadership position responsible for the delivery and ongoing improvement of responsive repairs and voids services across the Council’s housing stock. The role will lead operational teams and contractors to ensure high-quality, customer-focused repair services, while contributing to the wider strategic direction of Housing Services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of responsive repairs and empty homes (voids) service
  • Oversee surveying, diagnostics, scheduling and operational performance
  • Manage contractor performance to ensure quality, value and compliance
  • Ensure properties are maintained to a safe and compliant standard
  • Drive service improvement, efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Manage budgets and resources to meet financial and performance targets
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders and elected members
  • Contribute to wider Housing Service leadership and strategy

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience managing responsive repairs within a social housing environment
