Engineering Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Manager to play a pivotal role in the start-up and ongoing operation of a newly built, state-of-the-art manufacturing warehouse in Barnsley. This is a rare chance to shape the engineering function of a facility from day one, influencing everything from site commissioning to team development and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:   Oversee the commissioning and installation of machinery and production lines. Establish and manage a high-performing engineering team to support production. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and best practices. Work closely with project stakeholders to ensure the site is delivered on time. Lead health & safety initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Drive efficiency, uptime, and continuous improvement across engineering operations. About You:   Proven experience as an Engineering Manager (or similar leadership role) Strong background in project management, ideally with experience of new site launches, machinery installation or production start-ups. Exceptional people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate. Strong working knowledge of HSE regulations, asset care, and modern maintenance.
