Service Care Solutions are working with a Legal 500 and Chambers UK 2025-recognised employment law team, looking for a Solicitor who specialises in employer-side advisory and tribunal work. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a respected, dynamic team known for its approachable, personalised client service and strong local presence.
Location & working style: this full-time role can be based in Aberdeen, Inverness, or Edinburgh with hybrid working options available.
The Role:
- Advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions, outsourcing, and business transfers
- Providing day-to-day guidance on disciplinary, grievance, and performance issues
- Handling collective employment matters such as redundancies, reorganisations, and TUPE
- Advising on trade union relations and consultations
- Representing clients in employment tribunal litigation
Your responsibilities will also include managing your own caseload, supporting more complex matters alongside senior colleagues, and contributing to business development activities. You will handle both contentious and non-contentious matters, working with clients in person and remotely. Tribunal and court attendance will form part of the role.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 4 years' PQE in employment law
- A proven track record in employment tribunal advocacy and advisory work
- Strong understanding of employment legislation and litigation procedures
- Confidence conducting legal merit assessments and risk analysis
- A team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently
- Solid commercial awareness and client care instincts
