Are you an experienced SEND professional looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a dedicated EHCP Casework Officer to join the Placements & Tribunal Team within a dynamic local authority setting.
In this key role, you will:
- Manage a caseload of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Coordinate person-centred, outcome-focused EHC needs assessments and reviews
- Draft clear, accessible Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans
- Ensure all work complies with national legislation and local policy
- Provide expert advice and guidance to schools and settings
- Conduct and process annual reviews within statutory timescales
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with parents, schools, and practitioners
Tribunal & Placements Focus: Working within the Placements & Tribunal Team, your responsibilities will include preparing SENDIST Tribunal submissions, managing complex case files, and securing appropriate specialist placements.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP statutory processes
- Proven experience managing complex caseloads
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals
- Experience with Liquid Logic case management system (desirable)
