EHCP Casework Officer

Job Advert: EHCP Casework Officer Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week in Huddersfield Town Centre Contract: Temporary (3 months, with potential for extension) Pay: £280 per day Are you an experienced SEND professional looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a dedicated EHCP Casework Officer to join the Placements & Tribunal Team within a dynamic local authority setting. In this key role, you will: Manage a caseload of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Coordinate person-centred, outcome-focused EHC needs assessments and reviews Draft clear, accessible Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans Ensure all work complies with national legislation and local policy Provide expert advice and guidance to schools and settings Conduct and process annual reviews within statutory timescales Build and maintain strong working relationships with parents, schools, and practitionersTribunal & Placements Focus: Working within the Placements & Tribunal Team, your responsibilities will include preparing SENDIST Tribunal submissions, managing complex case files, and securing appropriate specialist placements. Requirements: Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP statutory processes Proven experience managing complex caseloads Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals Experience with Liquid Logic case management system (desirable)If you’re passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with SEND and have the expertise to navigate complex casework, we’d love to hear from you.
