About the Role
Camden Council is currently recruiting Early Years Practitioners to join their childcare settings on an initial 3‑month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive, multi‑disciplinary team delivering high‑quality early education and care to children from birth to 7 years, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality childcare and early education in a safe, stimulating environment
- Support planning and delivery of engaging activities tailored to children's individual needs
- Carry out observations, assessments, and maintain accurate developmental records
- Promote children's learning, development, and wellbeing
- Support children with additional needs, including implementing targeted interventions
- Provide personal care including feeding, toileting, and hygiene
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and other professionals
About You
- Have experience working in an early years or nursery setting
- Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Are confident in observing, assessing, and tracking children's development
- Have a caring, proactive, and flexible approach
- Can work effectively as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
