Service Care Solutions are proud to be working in partnership with a specialist education and therapeutic provider to recruit a BACP Accredited Therapist for a unique opportunity supporting children and young people with ADHD, Autism (ASD), Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN), and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Based within a specialist school setting in the South West, this role offers the opportunity to work as part of a highly supportive multi-disciplinary clinical team, delivering meaningful therapeutic interventions to young people with complex developmental, emotional and neurodevelopmental needs. Through Service Care Solutions, you’ll join a service committed to creating therapeutic living and learning environments where children and young people can thrive, build resilience, and achieve meaningful outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to children and young people with ADHD, ASD, SLCN and SEMH needs
- Conduct mental health assessments and contribute to personalised care plans
- Build strong therapeutic relationships and provide counselling support tailored to individual needs
- Collaborate with education and residential teams to create clinically informed learning environments
- Provide progress feedback, formulation and recommendations to support positive outcomes
- Work closely within a wider multi-disciplinary clinical team to ensure joined-up care
- Support therapeutic strategies that improve emotional resilience, communication and wellbeing
Requirements:
- BACP Accredited Counsellor/Therapist (essential) or equivalent recognised professional accreditation
- Strong understanding of child development and neurodevelopmental needs, including ADHD, Autism, SLCN and SEMH presentations
- Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs
- Excellent communication and rapport-building skills
- Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently and collaboratively
- Passionate about improving outcomes for young people through compassionate, therapeutic support
