Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Locum Pharmacy Dispenser to support a GP Practice in Downham Market. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dispenser seeking a part-time assignment within a primary care setting.

Shift Pattern

  • Tuesdays: 13:15 – 18:30 (5 hrs 15 mins)
  • Wednesdays: 08:00 – 13:15 (5 hrs 15 mins)
  • Thursdays: 08:00 – 13:15 (5 hrs 15 mins)
  • Fridays: 08:00 – 18:30 (10 hours, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescriptions accurately in line with practice procedures and legal requirements.
  • Process repeat prescriptions and medication requests.
  • Manage prescription queries from patients and clinicians.
  • Liaise with GPs, pharmacists, and wider clinical staff regarding medication issues.
  • Maintain accurate patient medication records using the clinical system.
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and medication storage.
  • Ensure compliance with dispensing regulations, confidentiality requirements, and health and safety procedures.
  • Support the dispensary team with administrative duties as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Dispenser within a GP Practice or Community Pharmacy.
  • Experience using SystmOne (S1).
  • Strong understanding of dispensing procedures and medication management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
