Service Care Solutions are currently working alongside a local authority, based in Doncaster, which is seeking an experienced Planning and Highway Legal Officer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to progress in your career and gain experience in the legal industry. This role pays a competitive rate of:
- Umbrella Rate - 50-55 an hour depending on experience.
- PAYE (Inc.Hol) - 44.50-48.89 an hour depending on experience.
This role is on a contract basis for 3 months but has potential to extend.
Responsibilities as a Planning and Highway Legal Officer:
- To provide high quality and timely technical and professional advice on land and property matters to the Council, its officers and elected members.
- Able to handle high caseload in Planning and Highway from start to completion.
- Deliver training and contribute to continuous legal service improvement.
- Represent the Council in appeals, judicial reviews and statutory challenges.
About you as a Planning and Highway Legal Officer:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years PQE in Planning and Highway Law.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
