About the Role:
Lewis Service Care is currently recruiting for an experienced Disclosure Officer on behalf of a Local Authority client based in Leicestershire. This is a crucial role supporting ongoing legal investigations, ensuring compliance with the CPIA Code of Practice and facilitating accurate and timely disclosure processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply in-depth knowledge and experience of the CPIA Code of Practice, including acting as a disclosure officer.

Collaborate with Legal Process Officers throughout investigations to identify all reasonable lines of enquiry and address disclosure issues.

Independently use electronic case management systems to assess material for disclosure and maintain accurate records of findings.

Attend review meetings with Officers in Charge (OIC) and Senior Investigating Officers (SIO), demonstrating strong communication skills.

Sign off appropriate documentation and ensure case files are comprehensively assessed for disclosure compliance.

Report directly to the Team Leader and escalate any concerns or disclosure issues to the Legal Process Officer promptly to protect the integrity of legal proceedings.

Work methodically and meticulously to ensure accuracy and adherence to Leicestershire County Council’s legal obligations.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Proven knowledge of the CPIA Code of Practice.

Experience acting as a disclosure officer within a legal or investigative environment.

Ability to work independently using electronic case management systems.

Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with investigation teams and legal personnel.

Strong attention to detail and methodical work approach.

Experience working within local authority or legal settings is highly desirable.
