As an agency representing this charity, we are looking for a passionate and motivated nurse who is ready to play a key role in delivering high-quality detoxification and rehabilitation services within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.
About the Role
Working closely with the Registered Residential Manager and supported by a Clinical Lead Nurse, you will be central to delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care. You’ll help shape clinical practice, support staff development, and ensure services meet regulatory standards and best practice guidelines. This role offers the chance to work at the forefront of drug and alcohol recovery, focusing on physical health, wellbeing, and harm reduction. No prior substance misuse experience? That’s okay. If you can demonstrate transferable skills and a genuine interest in this field, full support and training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support clinical governance and reporting processes
- Oversee care planning and delivery, responding to clients’ health needs
- Manage and support clinical caseloads, including assessments and interventions
- Deliver training to staff on clinical tools such as CIWA, COWS, and MUST
- Respond to medical emergencies and manage risk and safeguarding concerns
- Ensure safe and compliant medication administration
- Promote health education, harm reduction, and disease prevention
- Conduct clinical audits and support service improvement plans
- Encourage and support BBV screening and vaccination programmes
- Maintain accurate clinical records and produce reports as required
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Registered Nurse (NMC registered) with the right to work in the UK
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Interest or experience in working with individuals with complex needs
- Strong understanding of health promotion and harm reduction
- Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
Desirable:
- Experience in substance misuse, detox, or rehabilitation services
- Knowledge of motivational interviewing or CBT approaches
- Experience in clinical auditing and service improvement
