Locum Occupational Therapist – Blackburn with Darwen Council
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Locum Occupational Therapist to join Blackburn with Darwen Council.
This is a temporary contract for 3 months (with a view to extend) , offering:
- £30 per hour (Umbrella)
- £23.60 per hour (PAYE)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to deliver community-based assessments and interventions, supporting individuals to maintain their independence and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct community-based assessments within a local authority setting
- Identify needs and recommend both standard and specialist equipment
- Plan and facilitate minor and major adaptations to improve safety and accessibility in clients’ homes
- Work collaboratively with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with professional and legal standards
Requirements:
- HCPC registration and relevant Occupational Therapy qualification
- Previous experience working in a local authority setting
- Experience completing manual handling assessments
- Strong knowledge of equipment provision and home adaptations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
